How to Help the Blessing Box

There are many ways to help, as foods and products go quickly in the box

If you have any questions, call the church at 815-544-2977 and we can let you know what is popular and goes the quickiest lately. On average, we see 30 pounds of food and supplies go through the box on a weekly basis. We do not keep an official record, but try to keep it as stocked as possible to help.

During the winter months:

All donations must be dry goods during cold months, as it is freezing and thawing outside on a regular basis and everything is exposed to the elements. Please be mindful during winter.

During the summer months:

All food must be in containers of plastic, metal, or glass, as the food will draw bugs and critters, and we do not want that to impact the foods and products left out for the community that benefits from the Blessing Box.
